According to Wikipedia, the Scoville scale is a measurement of the pungency (spicy heat) of chili peppers—or other spicy foods as reported in Scoville heat units (SHU),[1] a function of capsaicin concentration. To our Third Annual WOF challengers, it just means that the Wing Dome’s 7 Alarm Wings got even hotter. Yep, we turned up the heat again on the wings this year but somehow, everyone finished! Maybe 600,000 Scoville is just not enough? Whatever the case, we had a great event, raised a nice bundle for YouthCare with customers, employee and two great vendors – Honeywell and Bosch. Take a look…

Wings Of Fire Challenge 2015
Our second WOF event and new challengers have stepped into the ring! Remarkably, our other challengers recovered from last years’ event and have returned to show the ‘greenhorns’ how it’s done. We turned up the heat on this batch of wings and added a healthy salad to each plate…dressed in wing sauce, of course. A special thank you to our new and returning challengers and to Honeywell for sponsoring this event!

Wings Of Fire Challenge 2014
Our first Wings of Fire event! It started with a conversation about where to go for lunch, then moved to favorite foods to “We should have a hot wing challenge!” The idea quickly evolved into a fun (but really hot) way to involve customers, employees and vendors and to raise money for a great local charity. We gathered up a motley crew of challengers and pointed ourselves towards Seattle Children’s Hospital as the beneficiary of our efforts. Cletus Kathol, Our Wing Man, ate Habanero Peppers on his way home from work every day for a week just to “get in shape” for our first WOF event. A big thank you to our awesome participants and to Noritz for supporting our inaugural event! Check it out!
