The History Of Pacific Plumbing Supply Company
CEO Larry Solomon, Owners Eddie & Ernie Sherman ; Left to Right

Pacific Plumbing Supply Co. LLC was founded by Maurice Sherman in 1949. After working for many years for his brother buying & reselling salvage, among other goods, he left to begin Pacific Plumbing Supply. He rented and set up his own warehouse, ordered product, hired a couple of employees, and finally opened for business – all within a few months. Many customers who had come to know him and like him over the years followed him to his new company. Very unfortunately, after building his business for two short years, he passed away following an extended illness. He left Pacific Plumbing Supply to his two sons, Ernie and Eddie Sherman, who were still attending school at the time. They have led the Company’s success over all these years and still own and operate the business today.
As wholesalers, we sell plumbing products primarily to the trade-plumbers and contractors. We also have several showrooms through which we’re able to sell to the general public. |
Over the years Pacific Plumbing Supply has recognized a need outside of our 11 Washington State Branches, and have added 3 locations in Alaska and a brand new location in Bozeman Montana.
In 1985, we opened our first luxury plumbing showroom in Bellevue. In 2013, we moved it to Seattle. It's called Abbrio and is considered state of the art. We're proud distributors of many luxury plumbing, appliance, and door hardware products.
In 2008, we began to explore radiant heating and environmentally friendly plumbing products, and the next year, we opened our first "Pacific Green Room" location in South Seattle, selling radiant heating, tankless water heaters, and other ‘green’ plumbing products. We opened our second such store in North Seattle in 2010 and opened our third Green Room in Lacey, Washington in 2014.
We enjoy significant longevity within the Company among our employees, and we pride ourselves on promoting from within. When we have an open position and an employee with the talent, ability, and interest to fill it, we take every opportunity to promote him or her into that position. Examples include our President/CEO, Larry Solomon, and our VP/COO/General Manager, Ron Abramson, both of whom started working in the warehouse or driving the truck and are now are successfully running the Company.

YOUTHCARE
Each night in Seattle, 700–1,000 young people are homeless. That’s thousands of homeless youth every year — stuck in survival mode.
Most were traumatized before they reached our streets. Each day they spend on them will take its toll. It isn’t difficult to understand why so many chronically homeless adults report having been homeless as youth. At YouthCare, we serve children as young as 12 and young adults all of 24. On the streets, rather than having a childhood, the younger ones are already enduring greater fear than anyone should ever have to. At ages for finding mentors and role models, the young adults are learning to trust no one. All of them should be imagining and building a future. Instead, they’re occupied with getting to tomorrow. |
