Model SP157A is a scald protection bleed valve. Recommended for high ambient temperature locations where extreme heat or hot sun might cause internal water overheating. Flushes water through line when internal water temperature reaches 98° F (36.7° C) and closes at 95° F (35° C). Full open temperature is 105° F (40.6° C). 1/2" NPT inlet and outlet.
